PhD (2001) in Industrial Engineering (Modified atmosphere packaging of food), at University “Lucian Blaga” of Sibiu Full Professor and PhD Coordinator at Department of Industrial Biotechnology, Biotechnology Faculty, University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest.

Research Interests (more than 30 years working in food research).
Main research interest is on the food science and technology area, in the topics such as: food safety, food packaging and food preservation, novel processing techniques, hygiene in food companies, biofilms, nanotechnologies, nanomaterials, sustainability in food processing and food packaging.
