Vlasta Piližota, Ph. D.
Professor Vlasta Piližota is with Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, Faculty of Food Technology Osijek, Croatia, since 1979.
She enrolled Faculty of Agronomy and Food Technology (Department of Food Technology) University of Osijek, graduating in 1976. She received her M.S. degree in Chemistry, at the University of Zagreb in 1983. and Ph.D. degree in Biotechnology, from Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology University of Zagreb in 1985.
She teaches number of courses at undegraduate study, Master, Ph. D. and Professional studies, such as Fruits and vegetable processing and preservation, Food Chemistry, Minimally processed fruits and vegetables, and others. She was a lead scientist of many national and international scientific projects. Also, she has worked many times as a visiting scientist at USDA/ERRC/ARS.
She is a member of many Croatian and international organizations (Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts, GHI- CRO Amasador, EHEDG, EuCheMS, IFT – Certified Food Scientist).
